Getting to BC Place
BC Place is in downtown Vancouver at 777 Pacific Boulevard, right in the heart of the city. It's one of the most accessible World Cup venues β the Canada Line SkyTrain stops at Stadium-Chinatown Station, a 5-minute walk from the stadium. From Vancouver International Airport (YVR), the Canada Line runs directly to Stadium-Chinatown in about 25 minutes. Cost: $4.20β$9.75 CAD depending on zone.
From downtown hotels, most fans can walk to BC Place in 10β20 minutes. Transit on Translink is seamless β load a Compass Card for the fastest boarding.
Driving: Parking in downtown Vancouver is expensive and limited. The stadium is surrounded by paid parking ($30β50 CAD on match days). We strongly recommend transit.

Downtown Vancouver (closest)
Staying downtown puts you within walking distance of BC Place. Expect $250β450 CAD/night for a 3-star hotel during the World Cup.
- Yaletown β trendy neighbourhood, 10 min walk to BC Place. Great restaurants and bars.
- Gastown β historic neighbourhood, 15 min walk. Lots of character.
- Coal Harbour β quieter, near the waterfront. 20 min walk.
More affordable options
- Broadway / Mount Pleasant β 10 min on the Canada Line. More budget-friendly.
- Surrey / Richmond β Further out but connected by SkyTrain. Good value.
Booking tip
Vancouver is a smaller hotel market than Toronto. Rooms will go fast. Book as early as possible β 6+ months ahead. Use the Canada Line's convenience as a selling point to stay further from downtown.

Inside BC Place
Bag policy: BC Place follows the same North American stadium standard β small clear bags (30x30x15cm) or clutch bags (15x25cm). No large backpacks. Check the venue's official website before match day.
Food and drink: All prices in CAD. Expect $13β17 for beer, $10β15 for food. BC Place has a wide variety of vendors including local options.
Seat tips: The upper deck provides sweeping views of the stadium's retractable roof and the Vancouver skyline beyond. Lower bowl seats offer proximity to the action.
Fan Zones and Events
Vancouver's waterfront and Granville Island are expected to host major FIFA Fan Zone activations. The city has experience hosting large international events (2010 Winter Olympics, 2015 Women's World Cup). Detailed fan zone locations will be confirmed by FIFA and the City of Vancouver closer to the tournament.
